Collection / Litigation Services
Meltzer & Associates frequently litigates cases in both federal and state courts in Pennsylvania. We represent both plaintiffs and defendants in various types of cases including the following:
» Secured creditors who are suing to collect on a debt secured by real estate (i.e. mortgage foreclosures), vehicles (i.e. replevin actions) or UCC-type assets such as accounts receivable, equipment or inventory.
» Unsecured creditors who are suing to collect on unsecured debt.
» Banks and lenders of all kinds who are being sued for lender liability or for alleged violation of the Truth-in-Lending Act or various federal and state fair debt collection laws.
» Any issues involving real estate, such as quiet title actions, title claims or any dispute over relative lien priorities in real estate.
In cases where we represent secured or unsecured creditors, we also
engage in collection activity, whether inside or outside of litigation,
which we handle on either an hourly or contingency basis, in
cooperation with the clients needs and desires. This includes the
sending of demand letters, filing suit and taking all other action
which is deemed most effective to collect the debt with a minimum of
expense and a maximum of speed and efficiency.
