Meltzer & Associates represents both secured and unsecured creditors in chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies in all bankruptcy courts in Pennsylvania and in New Jersey. In protecting our client's interests in bankruptcy court, we routinely:

» Obtain the latest bankruptcy docket sheet and file a Notice of Appearance within 24 hours of receipt of the referral.

» Obtain copies of recorded loan documents, if appropriate.

» Prepare, and serve as appropriate, Proofs of Claim, Motions for Relief From the Automatic Stay, Objections to Confirmation, Responses to Claim Objections, etc.

» Prepare and file any "special" pleadings as necessary to protect our clients' interests such as responses to Motions to Sell Property Free and Clear of Liens, etc.

» Litigate all matters which may arise in the course of the bankruptcy proceedings, including preference actions, fraudulent conveyance actions, motions for case dismissal on grounds of bad faith filing, etc.

» Attend motions for relief hearings, confirmation hearings, and any other hearings as required and/or requested by our clients or by the court.

» Present appropriate orders to the court, including Orders Terminating the Stay or Consent/Agreed Orders at motion for relief hearings.

» Negotiate the terms of a consent/agreed order pursuant to terms approved by our client .

» Issue Notices of Default and Notices of Termination to debtors and their counsel and file Certificates of Default with the court.
